What are the qualities for a good teacher?

Well, yang dulu-dulu, I had read one book in library.

It is a small book, blue in colour.

I wanna pinjam it, unfortunately my library card is full... so, I had noted down some wonderful words...

Some one of them is about...

'Qualities of A Good Teacher'

First, knowing the subject.

Second, liking the subject.

Third, liking the pupils. (^^,)

Based on my experience (slama satu bulan kaka...tp ada dua hari lagi bru satu bulan) what I can relate is...

As a teacher, I need to know my subejct very well. Means I need knowledge to teach my students. As the time I had been given in school is precious for each of the kids. I need to have a lot of knowledge especially the subject that I gonna teach. I need to go down every aspect, open the syllabus, learn the concept, applying the model in every aspect of teaching. Without knowing the subject, I will not have the idea for teaching at all.

As teacher, I need to like my subject. I need to admit, teacher really need to like their subject. Why? Well, if you dislike one thing, what is the outcome from your reaction?

Just imagine that you are holding something that you dislike, will you keep on holding it or directly throw it away?

So, if you like your subject for teaching, you will have the motivation and desire to teach with a big smile on your face. As you will have a wonderful day of teaching and the students will be learning a wonderful lesson.

Lastly, one of the qualities for a good teacher is liking the pupils. For me, this is important same as the first and second qualities. Pupils are my client in class. If dislike my client, I will have the feeling of... malas-malas.  Because... if you dislike someone, would you have the desire or courage to talk with them sincerely? Well, for me... If I dislike someone, I still talk to him or her, but one thing for sure, I have that sense of hipocracy (hipokrit)! I pretend to be nice, but in my heart I can't accept him/her.

This same as to our pupils. Just imagine that, you didn't like your pupils, do you have the desire to teach and play with them with love? Maybe still have, but not all in all right.

I still remember one told me long ago..., children have one special sense. They do know when adult didn't not like them or love them. They could feel it. With this, they will started to go far away... ~

Well that is the qualities of a good teacher. 

I do realises I still have a long journey, what I had wrote is based on what I felt, I saw, I heard and I read. All of this precious to me...All in all, this is just a sharing from me ~ (^^,)  feel free to read.
